Video conference room location: Sultana Qaboos University, main library, first floor.
Video conference system: TANDBERG system.
We visited the video conference room in sultana Qaboos University in 2008-12-15. The visit was guided by Mr.Hmaid Al-Adwai , he discussed with us the Video conference system and its requirement, benefits for the university and the people who contact using this technology .
The university used the TRG due to its advance features with high quality screen, two cameras to cover whole the room and TANDBERG audio science which help to ingather the voice from whole over the room with high quality. The conference room has other accessory room for the networking equipments.
The university has a lot of benefits from the Video conference system for the staff and the students. It helps to improver the distance education in the university, so it will give a chance for the students to attend classes in different countries and the stuff can also attend some conferences. The administrator of the university can do some online interviews with the new staff and they can contact with other people in many universities around the world to share experience like they do nowadays with some universities in Japan.
